How do I become a member?
Membership is free to all Maryland Residents, and available to non-residents for a fee. Apply for membership at the circulation desk in any of our branches by filling out and signing our membership form and showing your driver's license or other form of identification that shows your residence. We will provide you with a library card you can use to borrow materials and access online resources.
How do I get books that aren't listed in your catalog?
If you're in the library you can ask at the reference desk. Many times we can borrow books from other libraries or consider whether to purchase a copy for our library. From home, you can give us a call or fill out our online form to suggest a title.
Can I use my laptop's wireless connection at the library?

Do you accept donations of __________?

Do you have technology classes at the library?
Yes, there are several options. For immediate self-directed help, we have an online tutorial. We also offer a series of classes introducing beginners to using a computer and the Internet. Call the library and ask to be added to the waiting list for future sessions. Classes are scheduled as needed and are free of charge.
