Summer Reading

Join us this summer and play the 2014 Summer Reading game! No matter what your age, you can play along.

For young readers, it's time to Fizz! Boom! Read! We've designed two versions of this game:

Fizz! Boom! Read! for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers

Fizz! Boom! Read! for independent readers up to age 12

Teens are encouraged to Spark a Reaction this summer. If you have required reading for school, you can count those books toward the game -- and have a chance to win prizes, too!

And even adults can play along by exploring Literary Elements. If you have kids in your life, taking part in summer reading is a great way to model a love of libraries and the importance of reading. If youĠre kid-free, it's a way to support what your library offers and to connect with others in the community.

In addition to playing our summer reading games, we hope you'll join us for some of the events we have planned this summer. To find out about upcoming programs, sign up for our e-newsletter, download our summer event brochure, or visit our online calendar.
