Join us this summer for the 2013 Summer Reading Club! We'll be offering many special programs for all ages, including the I Dig Sign Language, Didgeridoo Down Under, The Bubble Lady, and many others. Information about the full summer event line up is available at all branches of KCPL. Details will also be posted on our online calendar.
Starting June 15th, kids can "Dig into Reading" and teens are invited "Beneath the Surface" as they read for fun and play the summer reading game. We have three different games: "Read-to-Me" for the youngest kids, "Dig into Reading" for elementary and middle schoolers, and "Beneath the Surface" for teens. As players complete the game board activities, they'll have chances to win prizes all summer long. Kids who complete the entire game will be entered into the end-of-summer prize drawing!
To make sure you don't miss out on any of KCPL's upcoming events and opportunities for kids and families, sign up for our e-newsletter!

Thanks to the Richard Kent Kindle Lending Program, high schoolers have the opportunity to take advantage of a Kindle eReader stocked with titles from the Kent County High School summer reading list. Unfortunately, Kindle editions of two titles -- Rebecca by Daphne duMaurier and The Martian Chronicles by Ray Branbury -- were unavailable, but the other 22 titles are on one Kindle. Reserve the Summer Reading Kindle, today and we'll let you know when it's available to pick up.
In accordance with the Richard Kent Kindle Lending Program guidelines, Kindles must be picked up and returned to the Chestertown branch and only adult patrons may check out Kindles.
