Teachers & Educators

KCPL has an array of resources to support educators of all kinds, including resources to help you teach at home, materials to support an existing curriculum, and learning aids for students.

Teacher Cards

The library offers special cards with a longer borrowing period of 8 weeks for all teachers and educators.  Just show us proof of your educator status and we will take care of the rest. Parents or guardians who homeschool can also receive a teacher card by providing proof of their status as homeschoolers.

Homeschooling & Curriculum Materials

Maryland recognizes homeschooling as an alternative option to public school enrollment for students to receive regular, thorough instruction. The Maryland State Department of Education provides detailed information about this educational option.
