Sit & Stitch
This relaxing hour of creativity welcomes all fiber artists to get creative in good company!
Bring your project-in-process or let us teach you the basics of crocheting or machine sewing.
Knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, hand sewing, embroidery, and more are welcome – if you can transport your project, we'd love for you to join us!
At this session, we will be debuting KCPL's brand new sewing machines and yarn art tools that are being added to the Library of Things. After the program, these items will be available to check out with your library card.
Basic supplies will be provided, including:
- quilting fabric and thread for use with the sewing machines
- knitting needles and crochet hooks to be used at the program
- yarn
All levels of skill and experience are welcome. Instruction and support for this program are provided by staff from Kent County Public Library and RiverArts.
Adults (18+)
Interested teens (ages 14-17) are also welcome.
The addition of sewing machines and yarn art tools to the Library of Things was made possible in part by Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding provided by the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Maryland State Library Agency (MSLA).
